You probably received this in your inbox because you followed my newsletter, so if you are at all interested in this evolution, I hope to see you through this new chapter! I have really loved connecting via email, but always felt the format I used was a bit lacking (I hate Mailchimp), so I’m excited to build something parallel to my sculptural work that feels expansive in a different way.
I’m going to cover topics outside of my personal updates because I like to write more than I knew, and being more active on Substack helps me avoid doomscroll blackouts. I will be setting a realistic writing schedule to start, which will look like 1-2 posts a month for now…no subscription required or anything.
Though, frankly, I would benefit from an income stream that’s less physical…so if community building starts taking place, and more demands on time become a natural way forward, I will reassess the model and become a faithful den mother.
All that to say, I feel like my peers are at a precipice of how we engage with each other online, and I miss discussing and learning in ways that don’t feel like I’m short-circuiting. So I will be expanding on *my interests with topics I’ve loosely been mulling over for months. For example, some working titles for future posts:
“Why Does Everything from Ebay Smell the Same?”
“The History of Ornamental Metalwork”
“Channeling Creativity for (pls don’t take this the wrong way but…) Dummies”
*If there’s anything you’d like to hear from me specifically, I am open for dialogue! I want this space to feel engaging!
Before I finish, I would be remiss to leave out the arduous fruits of my labor since the beginning of 2025!!! I was accepted as a solo presentation to NADA NYC with Arden + White Gallery, whom I went to Untitled Miami with, and I have been turning out work ever since. It opens May 7th-11th, so if you’re in NYC, stop by booth C212!! I made 14 different pieces ranging in size from 6”-5.6’! And my back really hurts!!
Fresh Green Spawning, 2025
